Describe the workload
Useful inputs include activities and systems, provider reviews, request volume, product changes, training needs, evidence quality and internal capacity. Two companies with the same staff count can need very different support.
Separate initial and recurring work
Discovery and baseline improvements can be bounded work. Advice, reviews and reporting can recur. State whether onboarding is separately billed or included, and avoid charging the same work twice.
Read the commercial terms together
Compare deliverables and included capacity alongside fees, billing frequency, engagement term, taxes, travel, external specialists and change control. Quarterly billing does not by itself mean quarterly delivery.
Prepare a useful enquiry
Share the immediate objective, known volume, expected timing and available internal owners. Unknown quantities should become assumptions to confirm, not silently count as no work.
Common questions
Is the assessment a quotation?
No. It helps identify questions and priorities. Pricing requires a separately reviewed scope and commercial agreement.
How is the DPO fee decided?
We review the organisation, responsibilities, workload and included capacity. Only an issued proposal states the fee and terms for that scope.
Discuss the work you need
Agree the service, deliverables, responsibilities and fees before committing to an engagement.
